WHY DOES ECOTUNING ALLOW CONSUMPTION TO BE REDUCED ?

 

It is at high revs that the engine consumes the most. By acting on the engine torque at low revs, Ecotuning works in such a way that, for the same drive, your vehicle reaches the same speed in the same time with much less effort and therefore with lower consumption.
To summarise, by using the accelerator pedal less to reach the same speed, you consume less.

HOW DOES IT WORK ?

 

Today, the majority of modern vehicles equipped with an injection engine have a central unit, that is an electronic box or computer. It is this box that permits the quantity of petrol or diesel to be injected and which controls the moment of ignition or injection depending on several parameters: outside temperature, intake air density, throttle opening etc. All these data are stored in one or more memories called Eproms (Chip). So all the data necessary for correct running of the engine are to be found here.

Chiptuning consists of modifying the Eprom of a car or any other vehicle equipped with an electronic control system. So you obtain improved efficiency and an increase in the power of your engine

HOW IS OPTIMISATION OF THE ORIGINAL PROGRAM ACHIEVED ?

 

Optimisation is achieved as follows :

  1. We measure the initial power on a test bench with rollers and we read the data (original programming).
  2. We retain the initial programming so that we can reinstall it free of charge if you wish (for example if you sell your vehicle)
  3. We make the modifications to the original program.
  4. We input the new data into your vehicle’s electronic box.
  5. We measure the new power level on a bench so as to guarantee you the gain in power achieved.

HOW CAN YOU BE SURE THAT THE POWER AND TORQUE HAVE REALLY IMPROVED ?

 

You will find out when you collect your vehicle: more acceleration, smoother etc. But, in addition to that, thanks to our 4-wheel engine power bench, we are able to take measurements before and after any optimisation. So you can confirm with the figures and graphs at your disposal that the power and torque of your engine have definitely been increased

IS THERE ANY RISK ?

 

Absolutely no risk!

  • The parameters are modified within the manufacturer’s tolerances.
  • No-one can see or detect the modifications.
  • The modifications are completely reversible. If, for example, you wish to sell your car with its original power, we will reinput the original parameters into your engine’s electronic box free of charge.
  • Your vehicle’s anti-pollution standards remain within the tolerances accepted by the manufacturer and you will pass your MOT without problems.

In fact, your engine’s useful life remains unchanged and the manufacturer’s guarantee is not affected.

WHY DID THE MANUFACTURER NOT ORIGINALLY ADJUST THE BOX TO ITS MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE ?

 

There are several reasons for this:

 

  • Manufacturers adjust their engines to allow for different constraints. Cars must drive just as well in Finland in the winter as in Morocco in the summer and do so regardless of the driver’s style of driving.
  • The quality of the fuel is not identical in all countries. This is why manufacturers must strike a compromise in the original programming so that every vehicle will work anywhere. 
  • Many manufacturers restrict their car engines for tax reasons.

Dynatek adapts the parameters of your car’s electronic box (computer) to your driving and your environment while remaining within the manufacturer’s tolerances.

The technology adopted by Dynatek is based on that used by the manufacturers.
